What I am asking is this: Am I doing something wrong that I am not able to model this easy? Is there a video I could watch to give me some insight? Our clients wanted the tunnel to be modeled as hollow, so I couldn't use the cylinder or the pipe, and the circular torus wouldn't have been accurate. The tunnel was next, and I had to use extrusion again.

I was not able to figure out how to model in 3D. The braces I were modeling were in the shape of the capitol "F." So, I would have to model the vertical part, followed by the hope horizontal beam, then the bottom beam. These models could then be measured in ways that wouldnt be physically. My second issue was that I could only model one part of the brace at a time. Autodesk Project Memento was used to create the models. This continued for all the braces I had to model. Most of the models can be easily imported and rendered with Autodesk 3ds Max. The height however was off in how tall the brace was. When I did so, the model was accurate for the width. Autodesk, one of the world’s largest makers of design software, has released Memento which is designed to let almost anyone create 3D digital models of physical objects like sculptures.
Looking down on the braces, I collected them. There are three extrusion directions available for this box, and the Extrusion dialog allows selection of the desired one A pipe with extruded mesh contacting a tet-meshed block. I had to use Create Geometry and I used the Extrusion option. The only issue we had was that the diameter of the ends didn't always match, but for what we were doing, that was OK. They were happy with the result, but wanted modeling done for the pipe, braces holding the piping, and of the tunnel itself. Results Flexible 3D printed replicas of 10 patient PAs were created successfully with no print failures however, 1 initial test print with a 1 mm mural thickness was too fragile so the whole group was printed with a 1.5 mm wall. After bringing the data into Trimble, registering it, and removing all the points that we didn't need, we sent it to the client. The reconstructed models were exported as stereolithographic data sets and further processed by trimming, smoothing, and wall extrusion. My company was tasked with using LiDAR to map a Steam tunnel.
